4 days with no shower AND a film crew...
Wonder if I can run a hair dryer and hot curlers from the outlet in the FJ?
Excited... I'm about numb at this point. There's only so much one can do.
You should be water nearly every night. For sure in the springs. Showers shouldn't be an issue. Heck, stop by "Camp Mudrak" down on the bluffs, you're welcome to use my shower.
No Hair Dryer needed -- It's gonna be warm

I'm also starting to get everything packed. Thanks Ross, for all the info. Should I bring extra gas or will the FJC not need it?
Are the others FJCs heading up Wednesday morning, or Tuesday evening? I haven't decided what time I'll head up yet.
Personally, in my FJ40 - I need 26 gallons to run both ways for 7 days. I usually haul in 10 gallons, and throw 5 in once I'm in the Springs, and then another 5 at Loon.
In Moab, I still got decent mileage in my FJC, probably the worst was ~10. I would think that if you fill up in Placerville, and then top off at Ice House or Robbs, you would be fine. If you do haul in 5 Gallons, just load it in the first night, so you don't have that weight "hanging"

So I'm thinking it's going to be fairly cold at night and pretty warm during the day?
We're just north of Berkeley, we're leaving about 6am Wednesday morning. Hope to get there pretty early to catch the others leaving and to chat with some folks.
We're not brining any gas. I'm hauling enough, as is!

Do you or anyone else want to caravan up together? I live just off of I-80 in Vacaville.

See you all at the trail!!!
Leaving Monday morning with a big Colorado Rising Sun 4x4 crew...
Picking up Brian, a buddy of Jerry Davis at the Reno airport, he is flying in from NC, was going to ship his FJ40 but too costly now with trucking costs.
Jerry is one of the FJC'rs with us.

Sure! 6:30am ok for you? If we left at 6a, we should hit Vacaville about then. Is there a convenient meeting place just off the freeway near you? We could meet up at a gas station or coffee house, or something.
So I'm in the middle of a complete bathroom remodel right now, and it's our ONLY bathroom. That new PETT toilet has been very handy! Last night the washing machine died, probably from all the crap shooting through the water lines due from the remodel. 500 things to do, and now I cant do laundry. Freakin A!
