Rubithon 2008 | June 18th-22nd, 2008

Who is going? I will be there.

When: Wednesday, June 18th through Sunday June 22nd, 2008
Where: Rubicon Trail

Download the registration form in PDF format by clicking HERE.

You can get more information from the Rubithon website. You can also read about the event in the
TLCA event thread on IH8MUD. Sounds like the FJ Trail Team is leading a special FJ Cruiser run.

Re: Rubithon 2008 | June 18th-22nd, 2008

I'm trying to make plans for a big trip from NC to make this. I'm trying to figure out if I can make one drive and get to Rubithon and FJSummit without doing any doubling back and forth. I may have to "store" my FJC in Moab/Ouray/CO Springs, fly home to NC then fly back and pick it up for the FJSummit.

Too many cool things happening on the other side of this country and so little time...

It's a bit out of your way, but let me know if you want to store it in LA for free.

Thanks for the offer. Depending on logistics, that might actually work. I have some friends in LA area (Mission Viejo) that I haven't seen for years and it might make for a good excuse to "drop in"...

I read your other message about going to Tahoe for a family vacation. That would be a lot of driving, but an awesome trip. Mark has already offered storage in LA, so I will do the same. I have plenty of room at my house in San Jose if you need to store your FJC between Rubithon and FJ Summit.

Your offer may be the best option since my Mom has a house in Boulder Creek and sister living in Ben Lomond. We haven't visited them for a 5 years but, neither one of them have room at their homes for an extra vehicle. In either event, there is a lot of planning I have to do but really want to make this happen. My daughters are "young teen-agers" and they will only tolerate these types of vacations for so long...

If LA ends up working out for you down stream the offer remains open and don't worry if it ends up being a last minute decision.
