As stated above, no need to make reservations if you are registered for the event. There were probably close to 60 trucks and campers in the pavilion area last year. It could have held more.
The reservations we were talking about earlier were in a quieter, section of the campground, maybe a bit nicer, but away from the event center.

Re: Coal Mine Cruiser Classic - July 10-12 - Rausch Creek, PA
Hey everyone.
This will be my first event with the FJ. I come from a freestyle jetski background that does the same type of camping near the lake and ride all day. Its a great life style but was wondering a few things.
1. should i bring up a personal BBQ or is it more of there being BBQ's everywhere and just bring your own food for them?
2. I belive I read some where there is no drinking at all. Thats cool if thats the case but was not sure. Its nice to have a beer or two around a camp fire at night(not when wheeling).
3. Like I said this is my first trip with the FJ and I am still missing some stuff like a high jack a couple of tow straps and a good tool set. I just got the FJ in may. I have done a lift wheels tires and waiting still for my bumper to show up. Should I rush out and pick that stuff up or can I wait. I hate coming unprepaired but it seems like there will be alot of us and everyone helps each other. I don't like to rush and buy stuff because i normaly have to buy them twice because I allways seem to get junk when i rush.
Thanks everyone
Richie
Oh is there a spot that is more of the party area to camp near.

People will have personal BBQ's there. You could bring one or try to hook up with someone that has one, whatever you're more comfortable with.

No drinking while wheeling. There will be a 'few' beers and a few camp fires after the wheeling is done.

I wouldn't rush into anything. RC has trails of all levels and the truck is great off-road, even stock. If you have a lift and tires the truck will be less uncomfortable doing stuff than you if it's your first trip with it. Better to take it as it is and figure out what you want to buy next based on trail experience.
There will be winches, recovery gear, and experienced riders in all groups.

The pavilion area is where the event is based. There will probably be 60+ trucks and campers there. There is a creek running through, a few pavilions that are open air structures covering tables, and a few fire pits. So it's basically one big area reserved for the event. After each day, there will be repairs going on. Most of the trucks are 20+ years old. After the repairs there will be plenty of 'relaxing' in many circles.
When you get there, just pick out a spot and set up. My criteria is flat and soft ground.

YES! I just got my conformation, I'm in! I can't wait to do some wheelin' with you guys. Friday I'm going to call the camp ground to see if there's still room. I was down last summer at W.E.ROCK to watch a friend compete but didn't get to run any of the trails. I am looking foward to wheel my FJ for the first time. There's nothing like the sound of metal against rock! I just hope it's only the skid plates.

Mornin' Rich and Happy 4th of July to all. Got my confirmation last night from JH of GCLC. All set to go. Met with Tai Mai Shu(Tuan) last night as well on his way to Boston. He delivered his pre-owned OEM tailpipe to me. Can't thank him enough. It sounds like we're going to have a great time. Is there a schedule anywhere for the event? I was on our website and really couldn't find any kind of organized schedule. Let me know and we(Myself, Austen&Amanda) look foward to wheelin' with everyone.

Good morning and happy birthday America.
I don't think there's an official schedule.
Get up, wheel, fix things, eat, sleep, repeat.
Wheeling usually begins around 9. First day may be a bit later getting registrations straightened out.
BBQ and raffle are Saturday night at the EV campground.
Re: Coal Mine Cruiser Classic - July 10-12 - Rausch Creek, PA
This can not come soon enough. We will be leaving mtk NY around 5 on wed. Its about a 5 hour drive with out stops. I think wed night we will be staying at a local motel. Was wondering what time do we start getting together on thur morning. I want to be all set up and ready to wheel so don't wanna get there to late. I saw some one else ask if there is a schedule somewhere. I would like to see what time things start around also. The last thing is I have heard people saying they have recieved confirmation for the event. The only confirmation I have seen is my check being deposited.
Thanks
Richie
