Posted in the Land Action section of the forum. This would be a great loss if we don't act on it.
Fjamming, remmber not so long ago, like two weeks ago,the conversation that was had about supporting TDS!!! Same battle, different front boys. I think a little less mindless bantering on the forums and LETS GET INVOLVED or all you will be able to drive is your computer! Lets all support Pirates rally on the 12th of March, I signned up to support the Blue Ribbon Coalition at TDS, anyone else? I am an active member of CA4WDC, Treat Lightly, and SBNF adopt a trail program. I spend a LOT of $$$ on my hobby/lifestyle, have for years, I think a little spent on legal defense of our public land use is money well spent. Remember the next time you go to Ocotillo, Johnson/Stoddard Valley, these are the open areas NOW, 20 years ago we had the Oricoppia's, Choclate Mtns etc... Pony up now or all your children are going to have is the pics your are posting today.

This is about as good as it gets right now. Part of the website is broke so editing is... a struggle.
I will get an email each time someone signs up. I will not post a signup sheet as this has caused issues in the past. I will update the list ASAP. PM me if you have questions.
Runs:
Easy:
Lucerne Valley race course: 2wd/Long Travel and stock 4x4.
Medium:
Fisher Mtn: 4x4 required, rear locker and off road tires are recommended. Body protection/skid plates are highly suggested.
Hard:
Jackhammer and ClawHammer: 4x4 required, lockers required. Full protection highly recommended. Body damage more likely.
Extreme:
Sledgehammer, outerlimites, wreaking ball, backdoor…. It depends on what the group wants to do. Body damage and broken parts are very possible. Solid Axle REQUIRED.
Vehicle Requirements:
Open to all Prerunners and 4x4s.
All vehicles should have a tow strap, at least 1 tow hook (stock ones OK), a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, a fully working spare tire and tools to change it. A CB radio is highly recommended for communications on the trail.
Fees:
No fees are collected for camping or day-use. Open camping is permitted throughout the unit for up to 30 days per calendar year.
Camping Info:
Weather conditions average mid 30’s at night and 70’s during the day at this time of the year, it can get VERY windy on the lake bed. Be sure to bring Heavy duity stakes or other ways to keep your stuff secured to the ground. Please pack and prepare accordingly. Remember to bring firewood and lots of it!
We are open country camping so there will be no nearby facilities. Please be prepared to pack in and out everything you will need. The closest gas is 20 minutes from Boone Rd and the 247.
Directions:
We will be camping on Meads Dry Lake in Johnson Valley OHV, located near Lucerne Valley.
To get to Johnson Valley from south of I15/Hwy 18:
I-15 N
Take exit 147 for Bear Valley Rd toward Lucerne Valley0.3 mi
12.Turn right at Bear Valley Rd 12.4 mi
19 mins
13.Turn right at CA-18 10.6 mi
15 mins
14.Continue on CA-247 24.5 mi
26 mins
15.Turn left at Boone Rd
16.Slight right to stay on Boone Rd
I use google maps for directions. maps.google.com
Boone Road is the 3rd entrance into Johnson Valley OHV (BLM signs)... some 20+ miles from the first BLM JV OHV sign.
Once you get onto Boone Road (graded dirt road) continue following it until you get to Meads Dry Lake (North/North East of Boone Rd./Hwy 247). Its pretty obvious, but there are no street signs (once you get onto Boone Rd.) that I know of. I will do my best to put up TTORA signs for directions. MAP OF MEADS DRY LAKE, approx camp.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Excellent directions. Chris, I'm interested in the medium run, but also really want to see how the hard run is like. Is it possible to hitch a ride on those?
