Re: Arizona/Utah Expedition (March 16-23)

C'mon now Larry, we've all seen your rig. Please ....I don't think anyone will be showing up the Scorpion. This ride is going to be so sweet!

After some closer investigating, as fun as the del Diablo would be, I don't think this is the run for it. If we have extra time, I have a couple alternate routes on hand as a back up. We could also plan to spend a little more time in Utah. The main reason I was wanting to wait until the weekend before heading up to Utah is the Jeep Safari up there, ....will likely be very crowded.

What do you guys think of 2 days in Sedona? I'm even thinking a hotel stay might be a choice here. All of the runs in Sedona are short with incredible scenery. We could do the rounds of trails and I know at least on my end, my other half and my two mini-Croz's might enjoy a shower and what-not here. ...thoughts?

It's perfectly OK with me, since I'm already going to be staying in Sedona and bumming rides with members of the group. Who says I can't freeload with the best of them.

There's a LOT of stuff to do in Central AZ. 2 Days in Sedona with a hotel over-nighter is fine with me. Head north to UT from there? We can kidnap JIMD in one of the rigs (that's what we'll tell his wife) and he can finish out the trip with us in Utah.

Sorry you won't be joining us, Vince YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!

It's OK by me. My wife says I'm a grump on vacations anyway, so going missing will keep me out of the line of fire.

Re: Arizona/Utah Expedition (March 16-23)

Ok guys, The schedule on post #2 has been updated. It's just a rough overview and subject to change and open to suggestions.

There is a Toyota120 group (3 or 4 I think) meeting at the Greenriver,Utah Holiday Inn on Friday the 21st. I reserved rooms for us there as well. Please look at the schedule and let me know if this is ok. Rates are around $90.

They also have a campsite reserved on the White Rim Trail for Saturday night, ....I'll be trying to get us one as well.

Here is a link to the other thread that their group is putting together:

Thanks Joyce, ...it looks like Saturday night is all booked for the White Rim. I went ahead and reserved Potato Bottom for Friday as it was all that was left for the time frame we'd be coming through. Looks like it'll be a great site though.

We'll hopefully get a chance to meet you guys on Saturday on the trail, maybe just lunch and a handshake, but i suppose it's better than nothing.

....I'll adjust the schedule on page 1 soon.
