Going To Borrego This Weekend & have a question

What's the degree of difficulty on Coyote Canyon ? 1 being easy 10 being serious rock crawling. I have cruised thru the bad lands a few times & that's about it. Also any other places for mid level 4x4ing ? Directions ? Of course anyone is welcome to go.

Thanks for any help
Dave

Re: Going To Borrego This Weekend & have a question

the difficulty level is somewhere between 7 and 8, but you'll definitely need a spotter. There are some nice runs thru the desert that you could do a quick sprint and lots of rocks to crawl over...

Good Luck... it's a lot of fun!

Cool, thanks for the heads up. My nephew is going too & we are going to learn him on 4x4ing so that will be a bit much for him. Any other good spots ? I hear that calcite mine is pretty neat.

Thanks Frogeye I will hit it for sure. Also what's Devils slide ? I saw some pics from another post. That looked really fun too.

That's a sandy hill just east of Devil's slide near the Little dirt airport. It's a fun place to play but be aware of the woopdedoos. Also check out Fish Creek. All of these are easy enough trails. When you get to the top of Calcite get out of the FJ and go hike down into the slot canyons, you will find old veins of Calcite and other cool things.
