Coca Cola Drive meet this weekend (March 8th)

Anyone in the Baltimore DC area?
Im coming home for spring break and would like to go wheeling for the day locally but what better way to have some fun than with a bunch of people?!!! Anyone know coca cola drive or want to learn about it? Great area off route 100 near the arundel mills mall. Should be a lot of fun and i hope we can get a bunch of people intersted in a quick unoffical meetup. So far its just me but i hope i can get some more interest!!!

Post if you want to swing by for some fun on Saturday!

Hitman,

Please don't think I'm always an a$$ but...

I'm in MD and somewhat active in a couple of local offroad forums.
While the place you mention is popular, I can assure you that's it's private property and illegal to wheel on. Please help us keep legal wheeling areas open and available by not adding to the bad reputation we get by wheeling in such places.

I'd also like to ask you to edit your original post so that you are not advertising the place you mention.....

Thanks.
PM me if you some info on local clubs.

I understand your concern however i have gone their dozens of times and have spoken to many officers about wheeling their. They dont care at all and just ask that we play safe and be respectful of everyone around. They only get upset when people go on weekdays.
Its fine that you dont want to come buy my offer still stands. Anyone coming with me?

I would like to know more of this story as we don't want people to be running on land that is not open to the public. We all know how detrimental that can be to our hobby.

JQR states that it is private land, yet you have stated that you talked to "officers" and they said it was o.k. What kind of officers? And are they the land owners? Is it marked private property and if so, have you got permission from the land owners to wheel on it? Is it public land? A lot of questions to be sure, but we just want to err on the side of caution when off-roading on land that isn't specifically set aside for that purpose.

Re: Coca Cola Drive meet this weekend (March 8th)

Its a local area wehre everyone goes to offroad. Free for all area without any moderation or rules. The owner is the coca cola company and they have been really relaxed about the everyone being their. Im not trying to defend it anymore. If your a wuss and dont want to come cuz your afraid of getting in trouble then dont post, simple as that. However, if you want to have a good time post up and we could get together.
I was hoping that this forum would be a little more open to get togethers that did not require registration and fees.....

I used to wheel there back in high school with my buddies, we never had any problems. I don't remember any signs being post that you couldn't wheel there, but I haven't been there in years...

Feb. 10, 2008- There is no way of getting in to this place anymore! I went there today and I spent almost an hour trying to find a way in.
They may have closed it off though...

Their is a back road, take the exit and instead make a left over the highway. Make a right at the light and follow the road for a quarter mile. Should be a road on your right that takes you under route 100 and into Coca Cola. This is the new entrance that was created. Everyone should come this weekend.....

Relaxed doesn't mean you have permision to be there on the land. Until someone can give me an answer to our questions, this thread is closed. Like Landrove stated, We do not endorse 4x4ing on private property without the owners permision, company or not. YOU NEED TO ASK FIRST!....This type of it's ok attitude is why more and more areas are off limits to us in the off-road community. We would make alot more head way if people would just ask first before assuming it's ok.
