Re: where no 4x4 gone b4:)

I'm glad you guys had fun, but prepare for the flaming to begin.

Most folks consider it extremely poor form to go out and blaze across vegetation off trail. This is viewed by the general public as being selfish, unsafe and evironmentally unsound. This is one of the issues that closes areas to 4 wheeling even for the responsible wheelers.

To blaze new trails, you need to have an area where it's ok to go offroad, you need to have NATURAL lines such as dry creek beds and rockfalls, and you need to have a vehicle capable enough that when you get out there and start to get in over your head, you're not going to get into serious breakage and bleed gear oil all over the pristine rocks.

I'm not going to jump on you too much, because I just don't think this entered into your thinking... it's not because you're inherently an unthinking person.

Please refrain from this in the future.

Tread lightly.

... or take up knitting instead of wheeling.

hmm, that isn't blatant disrespect for the land. it doesnt look like they were out to destroy nature as some unfortunately do. but please read up on proper wheeling etiquette as i encourage all new wheelers to do. a lot of our trails are in jeopardy because of people that dont know... i wont rag on the "crawler", but...

I read this a little while ago and was coming back to instruct on tread lightly. You guys beat me to it. But I figured it would not take long. I was also concerned about the todler being so close. You just never know what that age is going to do.

Please be careful.

Not to mention that little boy in what would look like some very unsafe positions..... like downhill from a vehicle climbing it...... Not cool at all.

I wasn't going to touch that either... this isn't the Pirate board.

Think of it as a "diamond in the rough". It's a beater that will break and then offer opportunities for upgrades. One day, it'll be mostly tube, they'll bob the bed and 4 link the rear. They'll replace those nasty radius arms with real links and dig up some 1 ton axles.

Re: where no 4x4 gone b4:)

I hve to say I claim guilty as charged, def. not new to 4 wheeling, (over 16 years into it including almost 4 of them in uniform...) , yet we did go into live (though mostley burned) vegitation, we did try to leave it all in the same condition as we found that, the area where we went had lots of prev. 4x4 tracks around it including lots of trash & shut gun shells, we just chose going down and exploring a creek and see how far can we push the rigs.

As for the kid, it is BLK Tundra's kid(not that it makes it any better...), yet I do think it looks worse than it was....but once again, I take all remarks and comments under consideration and do appriciate the concern for both mother nature & for Jonathan (BLK Tundra's boy).

Now that we are done with the "fire", and after whats done is done, lets hear some comments on the wheeling part

shhhhhhh.....u r hearting blk tundras feelings....the only reason he bought that damm thing was cause he was tired of me pulling his TRD Tundra out every time.....lucky for him me & "blue" where there to save his A$$ again when his coils went AWOL ....but he does have amazing traveling.....
