Just checking in. Hitting the road in an hour. Moab bound!
This will be the first time out with the 3" OME/ToyTec lift. Also first time out with the new tent trailer. This dude is stoked! Heading out with three Jeeps. Breakfast at the casino south of Cortez.
It's actually a little after 9:00 here but thats ok. I have wanted to go to Moab for awhile now. Life always ggot in the way so I get excited when I hear another doing it. They say this is the best time of year to go! Well, have a safe trip and take lots of pics for us.

You probably won't get this in time, but a few years back on Pirate, they did an article on which businesses supported legal offroading and keeping trails open in Moab. Eddie McStiff's (much to my dismay) did NOT support keeping the trails open to 4wd vehicles. Sucks, b/c they have one of the best hefe's I've ever had.....but I won't support a business that wants to see me locked out.
JFYI.....obviously, you're free to make your own decision.

I "modified" the front bumper first trail out. Fins and Things. Came down way wrong, it went bang. Then had to slide off on the rear hitch. Bent the loop where the safety chains go.
next day did poison Spider, great time. Enough of a challenge too.
Then yesterday did Hells Revenge. One of the Jeeps in our group busted a link on the front end. We all got down okay. Got it welded up in the afternoon. He's going to look at Rubicons soon, hmmm.
Pictures to follow after a nap!!!! The new trailer did well, towed great. But the water heater was burning an orange flame and really sooty. Another project! Holmes don't like cold showers in the AM.
