Louisiana 4x4 expo pics

I made a stop at part of the expo this weekend. Sole FJ cruiser at this part of the event. I couldn't make it the next day but Frank (fjsfj) did with some of his new goodies on his truck. Frank, are starting to have one heck of a truck buddy, i am envious of your front coilovers.
A heavily modified FJ from back in the day. This guy just idled over every obstacle.

Me on the course with my mud clogged at's

FJ'sFJ the next day out on the trail. i had to miss this day because at the time i didn't want to submerge my winch in muddy water with this gap i had between the housing. Wish i would have went.

There are a ton more pictures i found, just mostly jeeps though, and you guys know what a jeep looks like, right?
Jason, thanks for doing a lot of the behind the scenes work to get this event put together.

Yeah man, it was good times. It was all relatively easy in the FJ minus this first hill. It was slick mud and little rutted. Took me about 4 times to get up. It's right in front of everyone though, haha.
Jason has been talking about getting a group together to go out on the trail just FJ's. The people i think would go are: You, Frank, Randy, Myself, maybe this guy Dustin, and maybe this new guy user name Hossran from lafayette. Kim and Tom would probably come and just jump in with different people.
I am thinking sicily island or big easley. I haven't been to either of these yet.

Don't forget, Big E is private property and you can only go during an LA4x4 run (looking at May 17th for our next run). Sicily, you just need to call Dennis and set it up. Area 2 at Catahoula Recreation, Off-Road Racing, Trail for ATV's Dirt Bikes and Jeeps.

Re: Louisiana 4x4 expo pics

Way to represent, Layton! I had a blast on the test track last year.

I would have made it but there was an airshow in Slidell, and I had never been to one. However, it proved a rather slow ordeal. An F-18 (I think) ran off the runway early in the show and bunged things up for hours. It looked like an easy recovery to you and me. A tow truck was called in but I think he said... uh, how many million bucks is that thing? My boss has to talk to your boss...
