Hey guys, several of us are going on an easy trail ride/camping trip up to the George Washington National Forest. I was posting in case any of you wanted to come along. I'll be camping Friday-Sunday and will meet people at the Shell station at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22 just west of Harrisonburg on Route 33.
I have more info at midatlanticttora.com, under get togethers
WTH are tic tac shooters, that's what I want to know.
We *might* be able to go, depending on when we end up going down to the OBX . . .
And define "easy trail ride" - we took one of the "easy" trails at Coal Creek and I about had a heart attack. No, not really, but it was hairy. I imagine things might still be stock at that time, so not sure if it would be a good idea.

Guessing Ace is referring to this location. he's not much more forth-coming on the TTORA site.
There are things there that make Paragon's Green trails look really nasty. Then Cville and I found that rock outcrop that I bet Ace's 4 runner could do... but I think you'd need ... well... great big brass ones to try in a un-lifted FJC ... not that that stopped Cville.
Basically FJme, there are trails that vary from "oh no I'm riding on dirt, and my wheels are getting muddy" to "splash mud on the wheel-wells" (it's really fine-dust like slurry stuff) to 3' rock ledges. At least on the trails Cville showed me.
It's a day trip for me... kinda hard to say no. unless the wedding thing is that weekend... in which case I'm hosed.
Check my photo gallery for some of the hairy-er examples
