Re: FJ-toberfest! Oct. 11-12 at Eglin Res. (Northwest Florida)

Great pictures everyone!

Once again, I would like to thank all the participants who attended this run through the West Eglin Loop. I believe everyone had a good time, challenged themselves, challenged there rigs ('cept maybe sjustice64), and came away with a better understanding of what they can achieve with their rig.

I am also, once again, humbled by the trust placed in me to get you and your rig into, and back out of, the wilderness of Eglin Reservation safely. Thank you all.

We kept our schedule pretty well and made it out to the Point by 5:30 and got a great group shot before rolling a few hundred feet down to the camping area we like to use. Once we got the fire going all the chairs came out and we all settled in for a long evening of good eats and laughter(). This was my favorite part of the day for me, personally, since it did not involve me running up and down any trails!

Again, thanks for all the fun and memories, friends. Look for another Eglin run in Late January...

Matt I appreciate the time and effort you put into all this. If it werent for you organizing Eglin rides our FJ would not have been pushed near this hard nor would we have met the Mobile Jeep Club, which has given us a local group of offroaders to hang and ride with. I also probably would have more money since it wouldnt have been modded so quickly, but what fun is that.

Thanks for those last few runs this morning, it was nice to wind my truck out and get a good feel of the ICONs......and the bumpstops. Oh and my pulleys say thanks; at least I think that is what they are saying, they are yelling loudly so it's hard to make out.

Cant wait for January, just hope it is on our weekend off so we can be there.

Thanks Matt and Birdman for all ya'lls help. We will be planning the trip for jan too. Pictures are great from everyone. Where is that picture of me looking straight up at the sky? Bart's wife has it I hope...sorry to call you the wife, but I forgot your name. And thanks everyone for helping us look for Olympian and finding our phone. My badluck continued today while packing up our stuff. I had a bungie cord break and make a nice hole in the top of my head. We are home now and going to get some rest.

Re: FJ-toberfest! Oct. 11-12 at Eglin Res. (Northwest Florida)

It was great meeting everyone, the ride was a blast. Big thanks to BirdMan for putting us up on Friday. Also thanks to Matt for organizing the run and dragging this newbie through those trails safely. Everyone who took and posted pics: you rock. My camera died 10 minutes into the run (thanks for trying to charge it Sam).

This was my first FJCForum event but definitely not the last. You guys and gals are too much fun! Can't wait to mod up my stocker for the next run :-) -It was awesome seeing all the rigs and mods.

Matt

I just love this shot, my rig looks tough. And that kid I dragged behind me all day was really really tough.
