Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways at the last possible moment .... "Old Forester" in one hand, red meat in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming: "WOO HOO!! What a Ride."

FYI, I have done that very same spot 3 times now, with NO issues what so ever. This coming weekend I have vol. to lead those that do not want to cross... out from that last little spot to the final meeting place out on the point. No harm in not wanting to cross the creek!

You remember "Matt's Crossing"? Goes across Weaver Creek near that cool little swimming hole?
Yeh, well, it has a new name...
It's now called "Matt's Crossing"
Different "Matt" this time.
We'll see what conditions are like when we get there on Saturday. As it stands right now I have every intention of leading the willing across, like normal. The 'Complete Explanation of the Death of Bessie', which will be told at length by water's edge, will reveal why I do not consider this a real issue.
For now, on THIS medium, let me just say that we now know what can, and cannot, be done on the crossing.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I am SO glad that we will be driving back home Sat night, to a nice, warm bed with indoor plumbing!
I'm following Birdman. I have a great gap policy also but I don't want to find out how great it is. I look at the weather forecast and it will be like spring down there compared to what it will be like in B'ham. 3 days until we leave.
