Florida Hard Rock Roll'n Meet and Greet, Nov 7!

What a success! A great time was had by all, and now YOU can see the pictures at:
Pics from Nov. 7th run at Hard Rock OHV Park, Ocala Florida

================================================== ======================
Let's go wheeling at Hard Rock OHV Park 7 Nov. 2009

Hardrock Cycle Park - Cycles, ATV's, and 4X4's

================================================== ======================

Minutes from I-75 and in the heart of Florida lies a treasure. Come join your fellow FJers and see what a little limestone, a few decades of quarrying, and man unafraid to use his bulldozer, can make to challenge your vehicles and your nerves!

This trip will include trail runs through sand pits, technical hill climbs/descents, etc. This a fun ride with terrain to encourage beginners and seriously challenge experienced wheelers. Don't shy away from this run just because your rig is stock (note Mark's bone stock rig below). So come on out!

The meeting spot will be the Front office of the park where every participant will need to register for the weekend, located at 6849 NW Gainsville Road, Ocala, FL 34475. See this link for directions, Hardrock Track Information (Got GPS? N29 15'24.0" W082 10'32.5") Please note that there is a $25 fee to run the park for the day.

These are the main trails with all the fun bits scattered along the sides as small off-shoots.

Bring plenty of water, lunch, and some snacks for the trail. Sunscreen and bug spray may be nice as well (weather dependant). There are lots of RV hook-ups for $20 a night, and primitive camping available for $10 (I'll be doing that Sat. nite). There are also a couple of motels an exit to the south along I-75 with special rates for Hard Rock patrons. Check out this link for more information Hardrock Track Information

Possible Itinerary
Saturday 7 Nov-
9:00am Rendezvous at Hard Rock front office and register. Air down and do the Meet and Greet thing.
10:00am Driver Meeting. Divide into groups and hit the trails. Lunch will be on site in the camping area.
5:00pm 'ish Set up Camp FJ on site. Camp fire, smores, tellin’ lies, yada yada yada...
10:00pm 'ish Possible Night run! This time will be flexible, of course.

Sorry to hear that, bro. Due to scheduling of events at the park the next possible date is in December. And who wants to wait THAT long? We can arrange another event soon, though. Nothing you can do about work? I'd love to see there for this.

Unless I get my deployment switched, I will have to miss this one.

You're not fooling me, Billy. I KNOW where you are 'deploying' to my friend. Let's just say that maybe you can just come home for the weekend and ride with us anyways.

Re: Florida Hard Rock Roll'n Meet and Greet, Nov 7!

I'm in as a maybe for now. Hope to meet some more fellow people with good taste in vehicles.

What's the green water in the photos - are those the phosphate pits/quarries?

Wow those trail pics on the website look like no joke, I'm not sure the ol' 4x2 would make 3/4 of what was posted.
