Trail runs are BEST done in groups, I know this. You have someone to fall back on if you get in trouble. Also, you get to “chase the rabbit” and while the lead truck sets the pace (slow and careful, but fast enough to keep things moving.) Sometimes you get lucky and find others running the same trail that “get this” and help set you up.
This way you can fall back somewhat and take the trail at a somewhat faster pace (till you catch up again.) You know either via CB, or visual (communication of course) that the trail is safe and clear to a given point for you to pick up the pace.
Now I know, tread lightly, keep it on the trail (especially if you are running on a switch back or cliff), and speed kills.
This is a
of what happens even when following someone, things could always happen. VIDEO STILL LOADING< WILL BE UP SHORTLY
No one gets hurt etc, and yes her arm (camera person) doesn’t hold it to well, so it’s shaky. Bikes come down the same trails you may be running and don’t always worry about speed or people coming from other direction.
Later in run toward top, we were crawling around blind corners and a kid nearly went over the edge (he was HAULING.)
