Beginner's trails in NorCal?

Around San Francisco. Anyone knows any and reccomend, plus tips? I'll be going in with my ML...

I'm trying to see if I'm made for off-roading, all these thoughts so far is just that, thoughts and fantasy of off-road herosim, I know real life off-roading is not all that fun, you baby can get scratched up, dinged up bad, plus your manlyness will be challenged by the terrain, and truly humbles you, so this is kinda my trial trail run.

Err, found many past threads on locales, so nevermind, should've done a search before posting... but still, off-road tips are welcomed.
