We sat in on both sessions, but the information is sooooo valuable we'd love to have/see the video for a refresher to view occasionally!

Chris was great! He's an excellent instructor and knows his topic thoroughly!!!

dale
I'm jealous, I only was able to catch part of the first session. I can tell you I learned some interesting safety items from the portion that I did catch.

I have Bill Burke's "Getting Unstuck" DVD which is very good, but I would like to see an FJ specific one too by the Trail Team, that would be cool.

I have a copy as well. Good stuff. I am still all about getting Chris to do one FJ style.

Yes please!

Got back to Ouray 5-6 PM both days and missed the class. I really wanted to learn about this. Never been stuck enough to need recovery (other than a beer at the end of the day). But some day...

Then you aren't trying hard enough

Growing up my parents could gauge how stuck we got one of the pieces of equipment based upon what was required to get it out.

1. Gas engine tractor ("get the truck unstuck before your father gets home young man" <<Mom>>)
2. Diesel back hoe ("What did you do, wait till your father gets home young man!!" <<Mom>>)
3. Bull Dozer (man was I in trouble........ Dad was the only one with keys to the Dozer)

Corey is right, the Bill Burke's "Getting Unstuck" is hard to beat.

I believe that Bill was actually Chris Nelson's mentor.

My wife and I were lucky enough to attend one of Bill's cources last year.

Bill consulted Toyota on the development of the FJ Crusier as well.

Check it out -

Actually my latest edition of the TLCA magazine Toyota Trails has a good section on recovery by our buddy Chris Nelson. But as to a video, no luck yet. I guess I'll just have to keep watching re-reruns of my Bill Burke video.
