Wilderness 1st responders?

Anybody here have Wilderness First Responder certification? I've been wanting to get this for a few years, have Wilderness 1st Aid training thru local Red Cross, but want to be prepared for the unthinkable.

Re: Wilderness 1st responders?

Several of my Search and Rescue teammates have WOFR certs. I will someday go for my EMT. I believe there are issues with WOFR in california that could leave you liable after treating a patient.

Re: Wilderness 1st responders?

I know this is kinda an old thread but I am WFR and WEMT certified. I went thru NOLS and WMI. I am very happy with the training i recieved with them. I have been an emt for many years and then went into the WEMT class and I learned a lot. I completly recomend doing that class if you can.
