The Georgia Cruisers will be doing our part with the Rescue Tellico fund. Beginning in mid June we will start selling raffle tickets for a 1989 FJ62 to one lucky winner. All (100%) proceeds will be donated to the Rescue Tellico fund and the legal battle being waged to defend our access to Public Lands.

Tickets will be $10 each and the drawing will be held at the Toys-for-Tots Event in early December. In the coming days we will provide the opportunity to purchase Raffle tickets on-line and at many of the major events here in the Southeast.

In addition, we will be soliciting donations and contributions from other clubs and 4WD oriented vendors and organizations to assist us in the truck buildup and the battle that has become so pivotal to us all.

I have the unfortunate distinction of being the last person to wheel Upper 2 on Dec 31, 2008 and I do not want this right taken from us. Please take this unfortunate label from me.

Will there be a special if you buy a good quantity? Like "Buy 10 tickets, get 1 ticket Free"?

I would be up for at least 10....and it could really drive ticket sales in quantity--instead of one or two at a time.... (my $0.02 worth)

Thanks for the input. ticket sales have officially started and very successfully I might add. If I could, I'd buy everyone an extra ticket and give it away but some things are beyond my power.

No, you do not have to be present to win. In fact it's very likely the winner will not be present as we are getting contributions and ticket sales from as far away as Colorado.

The Raffle will conclude in early December during the Ga. Cruisers' Toys-for-Tots event at the Varsity restaurant in downtown Atlanta. Currently we a total of 4 Clubs taking part in the TOTS event and will be a big "to-do". The winning ticket will be drawn on that day and the winner will be announced on the Mud forum and the website. Of course the winner will also be contacted immediately upon the ticket drawing.
