New Light weight travel trailer that is FJ Friendly!

Well, not sure if it is new, but thought i'd post this up. I know there have been peeps looking for a travel trailer thatis light enough topullcomfortably behind the FJ.

TrailManor|Easy Towing|Why Buy a Trailmanor Reason 1

This is there 24 foot model. Weights 2800pds dry. Buy the time you add water, equipment, cargo and people in the FJ, your pushing the max wieght for the FJ, but would probbly still be ok. Not a fan of the single axle though. Also, i could see this setup having possible sway problems.

They also have a 30' model that weights a scant 3500pds. Even though the weight is under the FJ's max, thats an awfully big trailer to have behind such a short wheel base SUV.

Anyways, check'em out. Post what you think.

Fresh Water Tank Capacity 20 gallons
Waste Water Tank Capacity 15 gallons
Gray Water Tank Capacity 30 gallons

That is not a lot of holding capacity. 15 is fine for black water but you will go through 20 fresh and fill up 30 gray really FAST. That is where the weight savings is, the average is 40 40 40. I would try to upgrade gray water holding. you could always bring an extra tank or two of fresh. If you plan to do a lot of "dry camping", no hookups or dumping. You will be shy with those capacities.

Re: New Light weight travel trailer that is FJ Friendly!

I have one of the 3023 Trailmanors. Dryweight is approx 3000 pounds. The FJ pulls it really well. Can easily cruise along at 75 mph while towing. Plus the Trailmanor amazingly fits in the garage. No storage fees!

The single axle on the trailer is set significantly behind the center line of the trailer. The lightweight of the trailer makes this possible, without overloading the tongue weight. Moving the axle behind the centerline of the trailer, elminates all potential sway problems.

If you are thinking about getting one of these trailers, you should check out the owners forum, which is a really good forum first. Here's the link. Welcome to the Trailmanor Owner's Pages

The downside of the trailer is the cost though.

Just like any other RV. Just go to an RV sewer dump, connect the drain hose, and pull the blackwater drain, then you pull the greywater drain, and your done. Not a very pleasant task, but I guess its better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!
