Thank you very very much for this information I'm preparing myself mentally for the transfer case replacement and after reading the service manual that the transmission needs to be taken out was about to forget the whole thing..(luckily complete new transfer case is less than 1500$ from the dealer, so I do not spend my time by looking second hand one)

You're welcome, Pete. Just replacing the stock T-case with another stock one would not be that difficult at all. Good luck with it.
