Thanks dbbd1 it works great. Gave it a good test on some gravel with it on and off. What a differance. I like the fact that you can turn it on or off at any time. No engine shut down to rest lights.

I really think that this is the only way to go.

With this mod, yes, you have to reset to error code you generated.

Re: Install of VSC cancel switch

I've been reading this thread and its links for an hour now. Great job by all...
Can someone point me to a single post that performs the mod after all the kinks have been worked out? Don't mean to be lazy but I'm a little dizzy...
perciate it

I just did mine before our Mojave rd trip and what a difference it made. There was alot of sand and without this mod I would have had to switch into 4wd and then listen to the Jeep guys for an hour harrassing me about using
4wd when they were in 2wd.

Thats the way it works. When you are done using it........flip the toggle switch back to disengage/cycle your key off then on, all the lights will now be off and its ready for next time.

Re: Install of VSC cancel switch

if you cut the blue wire. there is no need to cycle the key. this method allows you to turn it off the back on without shutting the vehicle down. It works great.

Ospreyguy originally said on post one to cut the blue (think he called it purple) did something change in the 136 posts since then?

This mod works. Just tried it out in the snow (we finally got some here). When you turn it off, the ABS, VSC Off, Squiggles lights come on, turn the switch back on and they go out.

traction control disable?
He already did. Please see the above post then follow the link to the easier mod.
