I did post #148 and cant believe this is not part of the setup. For sand driving its mandatory unless u like getting bogged down!

One interesting thing, sometimes the VSC TRC light comes on and then you you have to cycle the power on/off to reset everything. Really doesn't matter 1 bit though.
I only had that happen once. I was testing the switch at different speeds. When I switched it at 60mph the VSC TRC light came on. So from that point on I only switch it at low speeds.

Glad my post helped out

Tried the 84988-35050 2WD FJ traction switch, it doesnt work on the 4WD computer EVEN THOUGH THE WIRING IS ALREADY THERE! The plug is attached to the inside of the upper left block off just above the center console.
I just purchased this switch, but for the 4WD FJ (84988-35070) thinking it would disengage the traction control so I could, "have a little fun" and found out it doesn't do anything. Like stated above, the wiring is already there, it is a momentary contact switch. Does anyone know why this does not work, or what this switch is actually ment to do? I wasn't looking to cut wires and thought that this switch would be my answer.
Thanks

The wiring is not already there. Go to post #148 and do as Bernd stated. This was for the 4X4 and I don't know if it works for the 2wd. I think the harness you are referring to is the LSD for the 4X2. Also you will need to modify a momentary switch to be on and off for this method.

Just tring to understand, my FJ is 4WD.
The wiring behind the blank is in both the 2WD and the 4WD?

Re: Install of VSC cancel switch

-Does anyone have the part number for the VSC switch on the 09's?
-How is the VSC switch wired in the stock 09's?
-Is the computer different to accomodate this in the 09?

Re: Install of VSC cancel switch

Did mine tonight using the blue and yellow with grey stripes as well. Very easy to do. No problems at all.
