Hey Everyone,
I've been visiting this forum for almost 3 years now, gleaning from all of you the best info when it comes to my truck. I thank you for that! Sadly, the first time I'm posting something here is in hopes that I can sell my rig. This truck is my Baby. I don't have to tell all of you how amazing it is to drive an FJ ... that's why were all here, right? So the time has come (babies are due in April!) that my wife and I look to trade in the FJ for something a bit more practical for our new family. I'll be sad to see it go, but I'll keep checking in here on the forums to see when Toyota offers a TURBO DIESEL as an option. I don't care what I have to do ... but I'm gonna get me one of them!
When I bought this beauty in the latter part of 2006, it was THE ONLY 6MT I could find in SoCal. Fully loaded, convenience package, offroad package etc. and I fell in love immediately ... had the leather done through the dealership and the mods started from there. See the stats below. It's no stranger to offroad ... had it up on 3 wheels and mud up to the gunnels plenty of times. Take a look and let me know what you think. Totally unique FJ, gets alot of attention on the road and at gas stations. Runs superb, drives quiet and straight with the BFG KM2s, and rides/handles SO much better than stock. LOVES the trail ... never stranded me or left me stuck somewhere. The rear locker with the ATRAC hack is amazing.
NOTE: This rig has NOT had the quarter panel ripping/tearing (engine compartment) issue that many have posted on this forum. I've checked it on a regular basis and it's clean. No bowing, bulging ... nothing, even after 40,000 miles with the lift/bumper installed. I guess I'm one of the lucky one's
