What about the ones I posted? Let us know specificically what you're looking for so we can help.
Cheap is the key word. 84-88 4wd stick prefered but auto will do. Straight axle prefered but IFS will do. Running 4cyl. but not running ok. But I dont want an auto IFS blown motor truck because that is to many things to change unless I could get it for $250. Body condition does not matter, the worse the better for me. I am going to cut it all off so I dont want to pay for a nice body or interior. I keep checking on Craigslist and truck trader. I just wanted to post here in case someone knows of one sitting somwhere for sale. Or maybe someone has rolled one and it is now sitting and taking up room in a garage or yard and they dont think it is worth trying to sell. I am patient and hopefully I can find one under $750 with 2 out of the 3 things I am looking for. Thanks for your help.

I saw both of those but with the price of fuel right now, it would cost me $500 in fuel to drive to Az. and trailer it back to socal. Between my buddy and my brother they have so many spare parts I dont want to buy a truck that has alot of aftermarket parts that will raise the price up. I dont want to have to sell off parts to make my money back. I know I sound like a but the cheaper the truck the easier it is to convince my wife.

Re: Socal I'm looking for a 82-88 Toyota for a F-Toy conversion.
Well I am supposed to pick up a 88 4runner in El Cajon Saturday morning. I will probably start focusing on the crawler and not so much on the FJ. I will start a build thread on somewhere on this forum for those who are interested. Thanks for everyone who was looking for a Toyota for me.

I now have an 87 4runner in the garage waiting for me to start a formula Toy build. Thanks everyone who was looking out for me. The only unfortunate part is I have a feeling that I will be spending my extra time on Pirate4x4 instead of here. But the FJ is still important and I will not ignore her.

Hope you got a manual. Last I checked, no crawler boxes are available for the autos....though it's been awhile. Marlin or Jim at Inchworm may have something now.
Good luck with the project.

Yes it is a manual. I already have a front axle for the swap. Sean what kind of engine and drivetrain do you run? I am not sure if I am going to run dual transfer cases or single case with low gears. The dual cases go back far and the angle on the driveline is scary. We are just about finished with my brothers tube buggy and he had the dual cases in his 4runner, but when he built the buggy he moved the engine and tranny back 8 inches and it makes the angle on the driveline pretty steep. Sean do you have a build thread on this or another forum? I would be interested in how your rig is put together.

Re: Socal I'm looking for a 82-88 Toyota for a F-Toy conversion.
I don't really have a build up thread. I had one on Pirate under Just Another Liberty Buggy.
I am running a 22RE, W-56C trans, stock front 2.28:1 Toy case in a AA case w/ cryo'd gears/input, an OTT adapter to a 5:1 Atlas II, highangle driveline shafts (Toyota CVs on tcase end, regular Toy joint at axle) down to a pair of 35 spline D60s with 5.86 Spicer gears.
