Re: Socal I'm looking for a 82-88 Toyota for a F-Toy conversion.

Socal I now have a 87 4runner, but I am still looking for a truck with a straight axle and transfer case. Any condition truck or 4runner is fine as long as it has a straight axle up front.

Hope you got a manual. Last I checked, no crawler boxes are available for the autos....though it's been awhile. Marlin or Jim at Inchworm may have something now.

Good luck with the project.

Sean
Jim at Inchworm has an Auto adapter to run gear drive case(s) behind one, just bought my daughter an 87 4Runner Turbo with automatic thats going to get dual cases behind it using that adapter - from people I've takled to you run an extra quart of tranny fluid in it because the adapter still uses the front section of the stock auto t-case that can rob fluid on steep uphill climbs, so the extra quart keeps that area full so it doesnt slip. I got spoiled wheeling auto's with my old K5 and the tranny in the 4 Runner is perfect, so why no tuse it!

Awesome Mark. Better start a build up thread. I want to see where this one goes.

Tony I was thinking of putting a build up thread on this forum but I dont think it would fit in. I might do one on Pirate. You will have to stop by sometime this summer when you are up in the desert.

Sounds good. Post a link when you get a thread going?
