take my advice. since you stay 2 years here. get the FJ converted to LPG and you can sell it much easier. even the cost for converting will be back within those 2 years, depends how much you drive.
for me, the cost will be armortised within 1,5 year.
you still can drive with regular petrol - it´s bifuel.
although they are rare here, it is not a car everyone wants to buy nor does everyone like the different styling. when you go offroad here, you wish anyway not to have a striking car.
new FJ with conv. and upgrade package cost about 33.000 euro.
therefore those who try to sell a used one for 30.000 have a hard time and I ve seen their ads for already half a year. a friend is looking for one right now.
he intends to import but there is currently a 4 months waiting time to get on the ship. I paid about 26.000 euro with only 7000 miles on.
many will import as the dollar price e.g. 26.000 $ will end him up at 26.000 euro incl. all import costs and german conversion.
for my desired part: I mailed a newyorker toyota dealer and will see what he says.
