Re: will 285/70-17 tires fit?

yes to that size tire.

Also I think a big thing that might be over looked is the dissier to make your rige yours and a little diffrent then the rest. Dragon is a good example of this off the top of my head. He painted all of his stuff to be a little diffrent and to make it a better represintation of who he is. People just want there stuff to be there's that is all.

I've got no problem with guys changing things about their rigs to personalize/make them different than the next guy (your paint example is a perfect example of what I'm talking about).

But, I'm just not a big fan of guys throwing on huge tires & lifting their rigs when then hardly ever (if ever) take the rigs off-road...and even if they do take it for the occasional romp in the dirt...do the REALLY need the added upgrades for what they are tackling during their once/month weekend warrior excursion? I highly doubt it, especially since I beat the crap out of my stock FJ before even changing out the tires and I know for a fact that the FJ is very capable out the door from the dealer. I've met too many guys in my short years that refuse to just say, "Hey, I lifted & put on bigger tires because I like the looks...nothing more, nothing less." Nope, instead they try to BS their way through what kind of hard core off-road animals they are but after a few minutes of talking to them anyone that has spent more than 5 mins in the dirt knows they are talkin out their arse.

As anyone knows that cruises around SoCal...the phenomenon of the poser hard-core Off-Road Stud is WAY too prevalent and it gets kind of annoying after awhile.
