DeadBolt Spare Tire Lock

Check out NorthernTool. They sell a lock set (Item# 125580), from DeadBolt
that includes a hitch lock and a trailer pin lock. The pin lock fits PERFECTLY in the spare tire mount hole. The lock twists in from behind while you hold the key and provides a snug fit. Between this lock and the locking lug, I doubt it will be easy to jack the spare.

Here's a couple of pics:

that's very cool! isn't the spare carrier just mounted to the truck with a few bolts though?

Yeah, but I still dont think it would be all that easy to get at them without the tire off. If they want it that bad, they'll probably find a way, but by then they'll have a Sig pointed at their head with me behind the trigger! LOL Name: Gunner.bmp

yeah, what he said. The spare tire lock is $10 cheaper than the posted lock.

Cause I needed the hitch lock too and I don't think in the store they had it by itself. I'm ok with it! No really I am......

Re: DeadBolt Spare Tire Lock

how far out does it stick compared to the stock bolts. it looks really long in the picture. but the head-on shot you took it doesnt, but its not a good angle to see.
