Can anyone provide photos of a titanium FJ on a 3" lift with these tires. The reason one size would be better recommended than the other. I understand the 295 require a BMC. By the way, both sizes will be on 70/17s. I'm almost sold on getting the 285s, but it seems like I'm seeing more people with 295s. I will be a moderate off roader in case you wonder. Thanks!!

Doesnt matter the lift kit brand, im hoping to see how the terra grapplers look on a 3" lift. I would like to know and see how much of a difference the 295/70/17 have to the 285/70/17. Im trying to spend money but my brain has too many questions that need answering!

2mpg?? Wow didn't realize I lost so much mpg with 295... Have you ran them to compare?
You do know that most 285 tires are not even 33" tall. A 295 is 33" tall. It's a matter of a 1/2" bigger

I must be drunk I thought the 285- 295 was a width measurement not a height measurement? The middle number would be required to truly get the correct size of the tire. hense 285-50-20 is around 31" and 285-65-20 is closer to 35"
Ya you better stop drinking..285 is the width 70 would be the percentage of width to determine height of sidewall
What's with the 20" rim numbers? Math is to hard for me! 315/70/17 is a 35" tire

Like I said about a 1/2 bigger (9/16)
Almost 2" in circumfrence. That's not a drastic change should he regear also?
295's with a walker Evans 3.5" lift... no chop needed at that point...
