Scored new tires today

I finally got around to dealing with the Toyota recall on the Bridgestone tires. It took almost 3 hours for them to swap the tires. Once I got the new tires on I drove straight to American Tire. They said offered me $50 a tire trade in value. Crappy for $100+ tire with 4 miles on them, but better than a sharp stick in the eye. American Tire ask me what I wanted to upgrade to and I said I wanted the Nitto Terra Grappler AT 265/70R-17. No problem they had them in stock but with the winter rush it was going to take over 2 hours to get to me. No problem, I can wait. Then 2.5 hours later the let me know there was a problem. They didn't have any 265/70R-17 in stock. The offered to sub the Nitto Terra Grappler AT 285/70R-17 or I could return tomorrow. Hmmmm a $200 free upgrade... What should I do?????

Need less to say the Nitto Terra Grappler AT 285/70R-17 look GREAT!! They are a little tight now, but will be perfect after I get that 3" lift I have been eyeing

I just had to brag.... I mean share

Nice score. Perfect size too. No need to regear or get the extra tank.

Re: Scored new tires today

The new tires are great! No rubbing. They had to cut away some of the plastic but I had already read that is a common mod for larger tires. Rumor has it that once I upgrade to 3" lift, I can run 35s.

Speaking of 3" lifts, that is the next mod on my todo list. I only have $600-700 to spend. What do people suggest. I am leaning toward OME.
