Firestone Destination MT's 285/70/17.

These are the MT's. Damn it's close. It's close to the body mount. It's close to the wheel well. It's close to the control arms. ...but it's not touching anywhere. The bottom line for me is it is too close for comfort. I will be doing the body mount chop and getting the lift. Sorry for the dark pics, but it's night time. I'll put some more up tomorrow.

Taira has her new sexy pumps. Now she just needs that lift...

Edit to add daylight pics

Re: Firestone Destination 285/70/17. No lift. No chop. Yet.

I tried to edit the title to add "MT's".

Thank you. I feel like my tires are now wrapped in bubble gum. These things stick!

Them look real tough on them black rims. I like what you have done. Probably will look and feel even better after the chop. And even better after the lift!

Mind me asking how much those MTs set you back and where you got'em?

I just went to the local Firestone / Bridgestone dealer a block from my house. 5 tires mounted and balanced was $1,025.00. Not a killer deal, but an ok one. They did a good job and I was able to talk with them quite a bit about the set up, the tires, offroading, local stuff, Illinois places to wheel, etc.

I would go there again, or recommend it to people.

Re: Firestone Destination 285/70/17. No lift. No chop. Yet.

I was really close to getting these but ended up with the revos cause it rains so much here and I needed safe handling for the family over MT off road performance.

Looking at the deal you got I am feeling pretty good at what I was going to pay. It was only 75 bucks more than you did.

I am also amazed that they are not touching with the wheels turned. My revos are much smaller and they are less than a dime's diameter from touching with the wheel turned.

Congrats and good luck
