Chime In Wheel/tire Experts!!

I have a TRD and love the stock alloys & tires.

Not too pleased with grip on wet pavement & want some winter tires/rims.

Soooo, here's the question if you know what you're talking about:

Where can I get HEAVY DUTY, 16" steel rims (16" like the TRD alloys) and what tire (same size as the 16" stock BFG's) should I get for superior winter/wet asphalt handling (like a 9 rating in both catagories).

I also want it to fit on the spare tire mount without modifications.

I would consider the stock 17" black steel wheels, but I imagine Toyota wants at least $150 for each wheel...

I don't mind paying for top quality rubber, but not too much for steel wheels.

Am I dreaming?! NYC area.

Re: Chime In Wheel/tire Experts!!

It's a "standard UPS shipping, we can't calculate online" deal (never dealt with that before...obvious possible scam.

But I'm a tenacious asshole, so if there's a problem, my high-end credit card will wipe the charge and minimize my hassle-time.

I'll let cha know!

Wheeler's off-road is legit. They're very reputable over on the TTORA forums. I've also bought some stuff from there before too.

Re: Chime In Wheel/tire Experts!!

I've decided on these (255 85 16) when my wheels arrive. Which should be this afternoon.
