Angry American Racing Wheels???

Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding a reputable American Racing dealer that keeps stock on wheels? I recently ordered some polished chambers and only received 3 out of 4 wheels. Apparently those were the last 3 in the country and nobody can tell me when they will be available.

Re: American Racing Wheels???

I want to thank all of you for pointing me in the right direction! I was able to find 2 more Chambers to complete the set of 5. I test fit the 16's today and so far so good.

Chambers are hard to come by. If your thinking about ordering a new set, you'll be waiting to at least sept - oct.

Do you know the part number of the ones you ordered?

I spoke with AR earlier today about some Thugs. I boat is coming in within the next few weeks, so more should be available soon.

Re: American Racing Wheels???

We are a AR dealer, and we're frustrated, too. All teflon-coated wheels have been on endless backorder, due to the shift of the painting facility from California to China. All castings that came in for paint were sent back again - causing delays of months. If yo want any AR teflon wheel, you'll have to wait - AR won't give any time frame commitments, continually extending previous delivery dates. So, be patient, or pick another brand of wheel - there's no other choice...

Re: American Racing Wheels???

X-wing the part number for the wheels I ordered is AR1085-6883. These are the 16 inch chambers (polished). I have a silver FJ and think they will look pretty sweet. I have seen tons of pics of FJ's with the teflon chambers but I have not seen any FJ's with the polished chambers. I'm hoping they look good and I won't have any fitting issues. I should get my last 2 wheels this week to complete my set. I will post pics once I get my lift (OME), wheels and tires installed.

Re: American Racing Wheels???

Hope you get them. I looked in their inventory and it's a call, which usually means no stock. That does take into account transfers, so the place you got them from could be waiting for the shipment.
