those almost look like the Yokohama Geolandar M/T tires

They do actually - the geolanders are more agressive looking - a few forum folks run the geolander MTs - they look fantastic. They are pricey compared to the Hankooks, though.

This review of the Hankooks is pretty objective - tires are not cheap, so I am trying to check out all the options -
