Lugnut color with Black Steelies

When purchasing the FJ with black steelies were the lugnuts black as well? Or Silver? Where do I found black lugnuts if I'm adding steelies and replacing the alloys?

Re: Lugnut color with Black Steelies

Chrome lug nuts and locks from factory. You can try Wheelers Offroad for the black ones.

I think there is a product out there called "gorilla nuts" or "gorilla lugs" something like that. Saw a post months ago on this forum.

Re: Lugnut color with Black Steelies

If the steelies use the acorn style, this is what I bought for my new Pro Comp wheels which required the acorn style.

I ordered mine from Wheelers also. Very happy with their service.

Re: Lugnut color with Black Steelies

Still a little confused...Will the factory lugnuts that came with the alloys fit the steel? If not, is the acorn style size 12mm x 1.25 what I need for the steelies if I want them in black? Thanks

No; alloys take flat washer lug nuts and steelies have 60-degree tapered seats. The threads are the same (12mm x 1.5) but the seats are not.
