In the November 2007 edition of Four Wheeler, they did a good review of the new BFG M-T (with the Krawler lug pattern). I won't paste the review here, go buy the mag, but it was very favorable.
The other nice thing I noticed is that they mentioned that all 16 sizes right now will be for 17" rims. This is a welcome change to those of us in the past few years who had problems finding aggressive tires in sizes about 16".
I think the only negative thing about the new M-T, was its performance in silt/sand. They dig and don't float. This is typical for an M-T, so I don't think that is a surprise to anyone.
Anyway, I'm still loving my TrXus's, so I won't be switching anytime soon, but I'm looking forward to someone in here getting them and showing their real world experience with them!
Keep in mind that BFG is a huge advertiser and spends lots of dollars with the magazines - it is not in their best (financial) interest to write an unfavorable review. That said, we heard from several magazine people who have run them and reported they were the worst tires they have ever run and removed them from their vehicle immediately after the test session. That is not what they were going to put in the mag through because of the advertising $$$. I had the first set coming into SoCal & promptly cancelled that order - now you'd have to pry my Goodyear MTR's from my cold, dead fingers. I'll stick with what I've got also!
Thanks, looks like my subscription ended a month to early I will go out and get me a copy.

Good to know. I like the BFG A/T that came on the TRD SE, But when I switched to the Dick Cepek Mud Country's, I'll never buy anything but. It has to be the quietest mud terrian i have ever owned. They clean awesome in the mud, on the road they are siped so they handle great in the rain. I can't wait for winter to try them out in the snow. Good info Jared, were looking at them? Terry I remember you were pretty stoked about them when first reading about them, they did look great, but I guess they didn't make the grade when putting the "rubber to the road" test so to speak.

Exactly why I said I wanted to hear from an actual member. I wish 4WD Toyota Owner would do a review. Either way, no way I'm switching from my TrXus's. They are simply too strong, too aggressive, and too quiet to pass up!

Marlin from Marlin Crawler said the Cepek tires are the best tires he has ever used in snow, its all he will run during the winter at the Rubicon - you should be pretty happy with them based on his recommendation. Down here in SoCal we have to go looking for snow to find it, and it still difficult then!

Does one of them happen to be the one that was in the shop a couple weeks ago getting things taken off of it?
