Got them and had them mounted on new Toy steelies with Gorilla lugnuts. They look good. A little louder than BFG AT's, not much. Drove on the freeway and they felt bad. Had vibration and steering wheel shake. Didn't know if wheels or tire or balance, even though they were just balanced. They put weights on the outside, which I don't like.
Just so happened I was on my way to pick-up my pre-runner with my son at a friends shop. We were looking at the FJ and he told me about their new balance machine, some state of the art thing. He rebalanced my tires. Everyone was off. He put weights inside. The truck runs as smooth as the AT's if not better. Took the wife out for a ride with the Puddy cat(another story) and she thought it rode better than with the other tires and not noisy at all.
Hence, these tires have now passed the street test. We shall see how they do off-road today and I will update. If I knew how to post pictures, I would, but I don't.
Regards, SSC

Re: Report BFG KM 2
Right on. The KM2's look awesome. Glad it was a ****ty initial balance job and not something wrong with your tires and wheels.
I'm looking forward to an offroad report from you. Now go have some fun today and then get back to us. with video, yeah. Lots and lots of Video. Of Rock, Mud, Sand, piled up stacks of little bush people, whatever you can find to wheel over.
and you have to explain the "Puddy Cat" remark now. No leaving people hanging.
These are big tires. You have to make sure that who ever balances them knows what to do. My guy reset them several times before he was satisfied. Mine are a little louder, but feel better on the road than the AT, maybe it's because they are heavier. I love them. They look fantastic
We did the Cleghorn run today. The tires performed very well. This was in soft dirt and steep slippery hillclimbs as well as rocky conditions and minor steps up and down the steep inclines. They walked the rocks with no slipping. I tried to get them to slip by climbing very slow and not using momentum.
Going down some of the very slick and steep hills which were narrow and off camber, many rigs were slipping upon braking as did these on a few occasions. Overall, I am very pleased with the traction and performance in the dirt on dry trails and rocks. If and when we get some rain I will submit an update on the tires performance in the wet conditions as well as mud and snow. I guess it is time to sell my BFG AT's.

I ran parts of hearbreak and rattlesnake canyon up behind Yucca Valley. Went through cactus and lots of sharp rocks. Gave the sidewalls a workout. The tires performed great in all rocky conditions and general trail conditions. Going through the deep sand in the wash the floatation may have been better with the AT's, not enough to cause any concern. Turns at speed in the sand caused sliding, but I think these tires bit and grabbed a bit quicker than the AT's.
Hence, they continue to impress and do well in all dry conditions. If we ever get any rain I hope to be able to test them on wet roads, mud and snow. No rips, tears, flats, cuts, runs, errors--sorry watching too much baseball. The puddy cat? I got a cat who gets pissed if I drive off in the FJ without him. He likes to sit on the dash and watch the world go by, or he stands up in the back seat and looks out the window. He doesn't care about any of the other rigs just the FJ. Go Figure.

That balance machine you're talking about is called a road force balancer. It puts weight on the tire to simulate actual driving and balances the tire that way. A must have for these toyota's and big tires.
Fjamming,
Hope you are feeling better. I have been running them between 18-20 pounds. I think I can run them lower. I will include some pic's when I get home because I don't have any pics on my office computer.
