Why would you go over 17 when there are the practical physical limits to the dimensions of tires that you can mount on an FJ without having serious rubbing issues in turns and on compression off-road? Are you talking about a street-only FJ with low profile tires?

Uphill, those lights blew my mind...lol. I think the 17" wheel gives you a nice balance between offroading and boulevard cruising.

Not all of us buy an FJ Cruiser to go off-roading (not my thing but I think it's cool). Physical limits of all tires over 17" on the FJ or the one's I just got (18")? FWIW, I currently have 20" wheels & tires (retains same overall tire diameter as oem tires but not low-profile by any means) w/no rubbing issues whatsoever. BTW, you don't read people's sigs do you?
