Will a 305/65/17 (33x12/17) fit on spare??

How big of a tire can you mount on the spare before you need some kind of adapter. What could I use.....if I needed one???

I fit a 35 on the spare with no spacer. The glass even opens

Maxxis Bighorns can be had in 305/70R17 not sure if they have them in 305/65R16

Terra Grapplers in 305/65/17?? Their website doesn't show that size. If this is true then where and how much per tire????? I tried google and ebay........???

Mine are 305/70R17

34" x 12.5" x 17"

And Nitto does make them. Actually they are 33.9 inches, but they are booked as a 34.

I mounted them on Walker Evans beadlock wheels, and had them dynamically balanced at a race shop that did a very good job of it. As I understand it, America's Tire (chain of stores) has the best price, but I haven't been looking on the market since I got mine the better part of a year ago.
