Will this 16" wheel fit??

6x5.5 bolt pattern of course. It is a 16x8 wheel with a 0 offset (zero offset).

Can't find any backspacing specs on it. But with a 0 offset, does that mean the backspacing would be 4 inches?? And would that fit the FJ?

Gear "Injector" Alloy

Re: Will this 16" wheel fit??

You should probably read a bunch of the threads about wheel fitment on the FJC.

Just knowing the diameter/width/backspacing is not enough to tell whether or not a wheel will fit on the FJC. The front brake calipers stick out farther than the wheel mounting surface on the front hub. The wheel needs to clear the calipers. The shape of the back of the wheel is the issue, there. Two wheels with the same backspacing and different "x factors" will have completely different results. One will fit, and the other will crash into the calipers when you try to bolt it down.

Alloy rims are thicker than steel... usually. A 16" rim fits CLOSE to the outside diameter of the brakes and hub. Depending on the thickness of the rim, some alloy 16's reach around the outside diameter and others do not. Steel rims are stronger and thinner than alloy, and therefore are less likely to be a problem in this regard.

The only way you can know that a given rim will fit on the FJC (other than finding out that someone else has ALREADY fit it onto an FJ Cruiser) is to do a test fit. If you do, test it on the FRONT hub, and not the rear. The front hub has the issue with the calipers sticking out farther than the wheel mounting surface. The rear hubs do not have this same geometry.

... and yes, offset is defined by the distance from the wheel centerline.

It should with wheel spacers.

Re: Will this 16" wheel fit??

What I just told you is that you can't predict if it will fit or not. You have to test it.

READ.

Use the "search" function and learn about all the work people have done here to explain how wheels and tires work with the FJ Cruiser.

Not all 16" rims will fit AROUND THE OUTSIDE of the brakes and hubs. If this rim is too thick, then a wheel spacer will not help.
