Can a set of tires fit in the cargo area?

Hey, I'm picking up a set of 5 tires and wheels (16" wheels & 285 tires) from the harbor...will they fit in the rear cargo area? I'll be removing the spare so I can mount the odd set on the rear door carrier. TIA.

I fitted 4 265 tires pretty easy inside. Make sure you take off your rear passenger headrests before folding them down for maximum room.

Be carefull with your headliner. Those tires should come in handy with all the rain and mud you guys got there recently.Welcome to the forum.

Right on! Thanks for the info. Yup, rain has been steady for the past week...29" in one weekend! That's more rain one city on the mainland get in an entire decade! I'm looking forward to mounting my new tires&wheels...

if you have a discount tire store in your area go by and ask for four plastic tire bags to keep your headliner clean

Re: Can a set of tires fit in the cargo area?

Yes you can fit all five tires in the rear with seats down. Make sure to COVER THEM with something so your roof liner doesn't get messed up. Mine got some scuffing when the guys put the stock tires int to eh rear without putting anything on them after they mounted the 285s...i can't get the stuff off the liner.
