I need center caps!

Ok, so I got my AR Victor Wheels in and they are awesome! But my problem is with the center caps! They fit the rim fine but they do not fit over the hub! I have heard some people on the board talk about having the same problem when it comes to the AR wheels. Discount tire used some generic center cap that fit but I didn't like the look of it. Roundish, shiny chrome, usually used with black steel wheels. What should I do for center caps? I am currently running nothing which is actually ok but would prefer caps. Could I use the factory steel wheel caps? Can someone help me find some decent caps that would fit? Any help would be appreciated!

Re: I need center caps!

Most of us are in the same boat. There is a mythological part number for center caps that are supposed to fit. Haven't found it yet.

You could do what I did:
Make your AR center caps fit your wheels – HOW TO

But I just lost one.

Re: I need center caps!

Thanks,
A flying cap would suck! I'll be doing that if nothing else works. I'm going to try to either contact AR or see if the factory steel wheel caps fit. Wish me luck!

Re: I need center caps!

I have a set of brand new, never installed caps for the AR Mojave Teflon wheels that should fit just fine? I don't know because I never installed except an extra that is on the spare. The 5th one for the spare is a little different design. They all say American Racing Teflon, and are Teflon dark grey. They are metal except the similar but slightly different spare cap which is plastic, but looks metal as it is coated with the same finish. $35 shipped in the cont US. I will shoot a picture later.

If your not interested, I will move this to classified.

I got the caps too but the ones I received don't fit over the hubs. I read somewhere that there are ones that do fit, they just have to be the right ones. Thank you for the offer but I would hate to buy them and then find out they do not fit. Also, I wouldn't want you to go through all the labor of taking off a wheel to see. I am receiving a second pair of caps from the store I bought my wheels from. He ordered them himself to make sure they are the right ones (because my first set were chrome not teflon) but if they don't fit I going to contact AR through their website and try to resolve this problem.

stringmachine, I have the American Racing Victor Teflon Wheels. Looking at Toyota's steel rims, the center caps look like they could possibly be "modified" to fit. Thanks for the e-bay link though. I called Toyota and they said it would be 45.99 for one cap! So I might pay the 9.99 for the set of four so I can experiment.

Re: I need center caps!

Mine fit fine. If the 2nd set doesn't fit then lemme know. I think I have the part # for the centercaps lying around here somewhere.
