Re: Loss of Power w/ Increase Tire Size
Installing larger diameter, heavier, oversize tires (compared to the O.E. size) on a light truck will typically result in a reduction in vehicle performance and fuel economy simply because is takes more engine energy to accelerate, or brake energy to stop heavier wheels and tires. This means the vehicle will accelerate a little slower and take longer to come to a stop. More energy exherted means more fuel to move it!
