OK, here goes. Installed the first set about two weeks ago. First off the 17" have two fill spouts, one is supposably for nitrogen and is fairly close to the outside edge of the rim. We mounted the rims, but at the time didn't notice that the holes for the extra fills were drilled off center and I drove all the way home (75 miles) to wake up the next morning with 3 close to flat tires. The leaks were actually coming out the side because when we installed the stems it actually burst out the side threads. So we called and they told us that a bad batch was made, kinda wonder why they sent them out. So we ordered another set, the guy (Richard) who owns the shop called KMC directly and told them that I didn't want the extra stem and would they not drill it out. They said the machine was set up to drill it and there was nothing they could do. I know CNC machining, if they wanted to it would be possible. So they next set arrives last friday, we mount them and this time the extra stem was already installed for us. We went ahead and checked with soapy water and we only had to pull one and add pipe dope and teflon tape, and it did seal. No other problems, a couple of wheels needed about 18oz of weight to balance, but so did the first set and they ran smooth as ice. So we drop the vehicle down, I'm pretty excited since it's been a 2 week ordeal. When I go to back out it seems like the parking brake is on, it ends up that the wheel is rubbing on the front calipers. Keep in mind the first set didn't rub, I drove them a total of about 190 miles. So again we call, they tell us the wheels are the same backspace. Well the owner tells them that this is impossible, he told them to check the set we sent back, and they claim that they had marks where they were rubbing. (Bullshi@) They suggested spacers which they have a disclaimer in there ad not to use them since they are "racing wheels". Well, I'm going with Walker Evens since they are proven to fit. I did get my body mount chop done, so something good did come of all this. Just for your information the 17's are the only wheel that is drilled for two stems, although that not being the only problem, I can't recommend this wheel for the FJ.
OK, got the Walker Evans beadlocks, really nice wheels. Steel inserts for the beadlock bolts and the valve stems are recessed in a way that increases protection from being damaged by rocks. I have to say that I should have gone with them in the first place. KMC is off my list for good.
Sorry the KMC's didn't work out for you. If I had the cash laying around I would buy them off of you, but the money is going to other places at the moment.
The WE are nice wheels though.

The retailer I was using sent them back, believe me you wouldn't want them. Read the first post, it will explain in deatail the problems I had. I really liked the way they looked, but too many problems.
Sorry you wound up being a guinea pig. Those KMC's are nice. I looked at them for a short time before I bought my WELD's. I needed a wheel I could run all the time. The WE's are nice so good luck with them!

I would want them! I have another truck I could put them on that would be problem free.
