2008 Sandstorm with 265/70 17 Pirelli Scorpion ATRs

2008 Sandstorm with 265/70 17 Pirelli Scorpion ATRs

Picked these up this morning down at Discount... they gave me $60 for my stocker Bstones with 400 miles on them and I picked up these ATRs for $130/each plus fees... got 5... pulled the Barbie Tire cover off, cost to make couldn't be more than $10... shame they charge so much...

Tires run down the road just a bit noisier than the stockers but not much... they seem to handle well, haven't put but 15 miles on them so can't comment too much yet... I rarely go off road due to schedule, so the times I do these should work... I'm more concerned with snow on road... but I really am too lazy to get two sets of wheels and tires so I need one big compromise set to get me by... This tire balanced up perfectly and the quality looks impressive... we'll see...

I'll write a report up on this thread once I see additional conditions and get some mileage... I'll also reply back with total mileage for research purposes...

Looks great. Had a set of Pirelli tires on a 4Runner and they worked fine on the road to Mammoth, and in the snow when we got there.

2500 mile update:

I've driven these tires on dry, wet and snowy pavement... quiet, very capable, competent... I wholeheartedly recommend this tire... in stock sizes, very affordable as well...

figured I'd check in here and let those looking for an AllTerrain tire, that the Scorpion ATR leading the Tire Rack AT survey isn't a fluke...

big thumbs up...
