BFG Mud Terrain TA/KM DT 255/75/17

Anyone using above tire? Likes/Dislikes? Found some online a little cheaper than the regular mud terrain. DT stands for "Different Tread". Found 5 shipped to my door for around $600, regular mud terrain for around $730.

Thanks,
Big Dave

IIRC some jeeps come with the same tires.

These should be a bit taller than stock, but also a bit narrower. A while back, Tire Rack had them on sale for $109 each, don't know about the price now though.

$98 each now at TireRack. Regular Mud Terrain says it is on closeout on the site also.

Check out some jeep forums and what not. I am pretty sure that is the size of the Rubicon tires. Since most guys that buy rubicons want bigger, they sell those. I am thinking about doing this as a wheeling set and keeping my BFG AT's for the daily driving.

Re: BFG Mud Terrain TA/KM DT 255/75/17

I just had some installed on my FJ a couple days ago. The center lugs are a little different than the standard MT, I think it may be for road noise since they come on the stock Rubicon. They are really quiet, especially for a MT. I had BFG AT's on my old 4Runner and I thought those were louder than these. I had my friend balance them using a road force balancer and they did extremely well. The average road force of the tires was about 4lbs and the tolerance level for truck tires is 40lbs. I went with these because it's a C rated tire so it won't be too stiff, it's a little taller than stock so my MPG won't go down the tubes and finally the price can't be beat. I got mine for $585 shipped.
