Beefier s/ Steelies

Hey everyone!

I was looking at the Wrangler SilentArmors in a 285/70/17 on the stock steelies.

Would this fit w/o any mods?

Some people can get away with it an no rubbing, some people can't. It is kind of hit or miss. Your cheapest route would be to buy a cheap spacer that installs on the front springs to give you ~2inch lift in the front, this also levels out the FJ. A better solution in my opinion but still relatively cheap would be to replace the front springs with a higher spring rate via the Old Man Emu (OME) 883 coils. You can pick up 2 for 79 each at all pro's website.
I don't know what is all involved with installing the spacers, but if you want to know what is involved with the springs, view this webpage, remember you just need to do the front. LivingPost: StepbyStep OME Install
