Re: About Tires...
Mine won't have any spare tire anyway, just like all my other vehicles. Spare tire and its mount bracket are two of the first things to be removed when I got a new vehicle. In FJC case, it will make the rear door hinges to live a longer time and less overall weight
Umm, what are you going to do when you're in the middle of nowhere and you get a flat?

Robbie Gordon's (black) 17x8's will find a nice home bolted to my FJ.

Call AAA? That's what I'd do. Just install a mount on the roof to keep it sort of invisible, and only mount the spare up there when you're going wheeling. And that's if you don't want to see the spare. I would rather it stay on the roof all the time.

Re: What Size Tires?

Oh, and speaking of wheels. I have a super shiny set of factory wheels that came from a late '80's Dodge Raider, or Mitsubishi Raider? I will look for a pic.

Tacoma isn't one of the vehicles listed under ideal fits for that wheel. But who cares, it's shiny and cost me 5 bucks each. =) The spacers will cost me 65 each though. =(

Re: What Size Tires?

You're a sick little man, Tone! A brand new truck and you're gonna put 20 year old wheels on it? Are you feelin' okay big guy? Fall on your head gettin' outta bed today or something?

You fool! My Tacoma isn't new at all, in fact it's 8 years old. And, when I found those shiny Raider wheels at the junkyard, it was like finding treasure! It looked like someone was hiding them, so it felt as though I was stealing but since they were still "on the shelf", it wasn't really stealing.

Re: What Size Tires?

Funny stuff.... I thought you were talking about putting those bad boys on your FJ!

I don't think I'd even do that to an 8 yr. old Tacoma.
