Thats another good idea, coat the key and socket and forget about it, found it for less here: PLASTI DIP 11603-6 Rubber Coating, Black, 14.5oz

They also have Liquid Tape – Electrical Tape, Electrical Insulation, Liquid Electrical Tape – Plasti Dip International which looks like its the same thing.
